Rasheedat is Nosimot's daughter
When no one else talks about you I will still remember ; The way you bite your nails chomp chomp chomp the sound of keratin blank - the look on your face as you go about your day Talking to yourself about your worries Opening and closing your meaty palms Gesturing to yourself Rubbing the knee you had your surgery. The deepness of your mirth clicking chuckles after Scratching your back and legs and everywhere else. Writing to yourself Watching the water ebb Observing just as you taught me ,unknowingly Remembering, imprinting, The flowery yellow dress the last time I saw you.
Oshodi Bridge has a marvelous view My bed is not as soft As the zephyrs today Nor is it as soft As of the warmth From the gleaming sun
Over the horizon, Past the fumes the screeching trains the roaring market entreating beggars the thumping of the feet after feet And the loudness of my anguish There is silence
My breath just hitched Clasping the railing, on the edge of the bridge, I look over to find Airplanes , laid on the grass like a giant's toys The sun , the breeze, the silence, the wind, the planes , all in langour. All is forgotten , all is forgiven.
